About

I’m so glad you’re here! I’ve spent the past decade documenting love stories and life’s biggest milestones, and I truly value the people I get to work with along the way. As a wedding and elopement photographer based in New York, I serve couples in Syracuse, the Finger Lakes, the Adirondacks, and all along the East Coast.  My approach is centered on capturing images that feel natural, genuine, and true to who you are.

Hi! I'm Mackenzie, a documentary wedding photographer  in
Upstate New York and wherever your story takes us.

Based in Upstate New York, traveling wherever your story unfolds

With a degree in photojournalism from Rochester Institute of Technology and 9 years documenting love stories, I approach each wedding with a storytelling mindset, focusing on real moments, genuine emotion, and the in-between details that often mean the most. My education shaped my eye for composition, light, and timing, but it’s the years I’ve spent behind the camera and connecting with people that truly define the way I work.

As a 2025 bride who got married in the Adirondack Mountains, I also know firsthand what the wedding planning process is like and thats why I created my wedding guide that has everything you need to know when it comes to planning your wedding day from a photography standpoint!

While weddings are at the heart of what I do, I’m passionate about photographing all of life’s meaningful moments, from the quiet to the chaotic, so you can hold onto them for years to come.

Bringing professionalism, comfort, and hype girl energy to every wedding.

....but boy do I love traveling to a new city and trying their local coffee shop!

truly, I'm a country girl at heart

One thing about me... I'll never shut up about my dog. He's a 110 pound Boxer Great Dane mix, and he's also a certified drooly boy and my personal office assistant. My husband and I got him in Rochester, hence the name Kodak, and now he goes with us on all of our adventures!

I lived in Rochester, NY for college and adopted a dog named Kodak

I’ve always loved the Adirondacks and will make any excuse to make a trip there. I dreamed of getting married in the park, and that came true in the fall of 2025. I’m also a huge lover of the outdoors and am slowly working my way through the 46 High Peaks. I’m currently at 8 out of 46, so I’ve got a long way to go… but I’m enjoying every step of it!

My favorite place on earth is the Adirondack Mountains.

I’m a huge Noah Kahan fan and basically live in my folk music era at all times. If there’s a sad lyric, a banjo, or a song that makes me feel personally called out in a poetic way, I’m in. I will absolutely romanticize my entire life while listening to it, even if I’m just doing something as glamorous as editing photos or sitting in traffic.

I'm constantly living in my folk era (With Noah Kahan on repeat)

I’ve always been a little arts-and-crafts obsessed in the best way. I’m constantly in the middle of some kind of project, usually with glue, thread, or a slightly chaotic mix of both nearby. Right now I’m fully deep in my needlepoint and needle felting era. I’ve made a felt llama that I’m still unreasonably proud of, and this past Christmas I hand-made all of our family gifts using embroidery hoops and needlepoint.

Creative downtime is my favorite kind of time!
